Misleór Festival 2026
Opening Night Event
H.O.M.E.
An Aerial Hip H'Opera
A co-production by Fidget Feet and Tobi Omoteso
Thursday 24 September | Black Box Theatre, Galway | 7.30pm
Official Opening Event of Misleór Festival of Nomadic Cultures
H.O.M.E. by Fidget Feet and Tobi Omoteso is Ireland's first aerial Hip H'Opera. Performed by a cast of nine artists, this powerful and visually striking production explores what elevates and suppresses us as human beings: identity, belonging, trust, strength, gender expectations, resilience and more.
Created in collaboration with the performers, H.O.M.E. weaves together aerial circus, movement, hip-hop, spoken word, live music and opera to tell deeply personal stories. Guided by the raw and compelling narration of acclaimed rapper and friend of Misleór Festival, Wilzee, the work invites audiences on an emotional and thought-provoking journey.
Presented as part of the Misleór Festival of Nomadic Cultures, the evening will open with a special performance by participants from Sorcán and Circus.
